Project Attica recently worked with the students from Margaret's Place at Robert A. Van Wyck Middle School 217 in Briarwood, Queens. Margaret's Place is a school-based program that stems from the Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation, which works to end the cycle of violence through education and other programs (please visit their website in the previous link for more information). The students are preparing for a fashion show geared towards breaking gender roles and stereotypes that is scheduled to take place in late May. As a result, Project Attica is assisting the students in the creation of their t-shirts for the show.
We want to thank all the students, teachers, and staff who assisted in making this an exciting and successful workshop.
